Ph.D. candidate recognized by Catalysis Society of Metropolitan New York

Kevin F. Doura, Chemical Engineering graduate student advised by Professor Israel Wachs, placed second in the 2009 Spring Symposium of the Catalysis Society of Metropolitan New York.

This symposium attracts the top catalysis researchers from Columbia University,
Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Rutgers University,
Princeton University, Rider University, University of Pennsylvania, and University of Delaware as well as industrial interest from BASF, ExxonMobil, Dow Chemical, W.R. Grace , CBI-Lummus, Headwaters, Exelus, and Umicore. Kevin's poster, entitled "Resolving the Contributions of Surface Lewis and Bronsted Acid Sites during NOx/NH3 SCR: An Operando TP-IR Spectroscopic Investigation" was one of three out of 30 recognized at this event. This research was performed in part this past summer in Prof. Marco Daturi's lab at the Université de Caen Basse-Normandie in Caen, France.
